  2. I believe Snapchat is the coolest technology I've ever had. All of the cool features it offers it what sells me. I use this piece of technology every day to communicate with family and friends and even to keep up with current news. One of my absolute favorite features are the filters used to change backgrounds and faces. The discovery page on Snapchat has a lot of useful information such as recipes, surveys, sport updates, and political updates.
Snapchat has a new feature of creating a Bitmoji which is an emoji that you can create to look like you and use it on your stories and in your text messages.

  3. The coolest technology I have ever experienced would have to be the technology in today's cars. My friends from home and I are into cars and some of the technology, not only with building them, but that the cars themselves are incredible. Everything from speedometers projected on the windshield, to bluetooth stereo connection. Cars are super neat technology. I wish I knew more about them, however.

  6. I think the coolest technology is the video glasses my football team is using to train our Quarterbacks. It provides a virtual reality experience when paired with VR Boxes we provide our QB's. It helps our starter train the backups and will help future years in developing a new starter. Using youtube to turn the video into a side by side display will help the VR box give a true virtual reality experience. By using dropbox I am able to get the video to each player and update it after a new play is installed into the offense

  7. I think the coolest technology I have used so far is Educreations. I thought it was very user friendly. Even though it was user friendly I think it still had a lot to offer, and it created a pretty cool presentation. I also like it because it is a very versatile and can be used for anything. This is a technology I will certainly be using in the future.

  8. The coolest technology that I have ever experienced is the PS4 virtual reality video games. I was at a Wal-Mart recently and they were demoing the Batman virtual reality video game. I have played and own every Batman video game that has came out recently. They are great games and a load of fun. Experiencing in virtual reality took the game to a whole different level. It was like you were Batman himself fighting off all the thugs and goons roaming the streets of Gotham City. I feel that virtual reality is going to be a big hit in the future and I am excited to see what the future has in store for us in the video game world.

  9. The coolest technology i have seen would have to be the 360 degree videos on Youtube. They give you the feel that you are in the video since you can look around at everything around you. It gives a deeper look into videos since you see things you can't see in regular videos.

  10. I believe the coolest technology is a go pro. I have used one on my kayak before to and I've used one under water in Puerto Rico. I was able to capture action videos that I wouldn't have been able to do myself with a phone. Most come with a mount that sticks to a surface and it basically records for you. They have different versions so it can be used to many activities.

  11. I think the coolest technology that I've used in my Iphone. I say this because it is a handheld laptop. You can literally do everything you can do on a laptop on your phone. For example, I typed this post from my Iphone. It is with you at all times and it is a way to be very efficient such as instantly replying to emails instead of getting to a computer, logging on and then replying. Not to mention all of the other devices compatible with Iphones through Bluetooth (Headphones/ Earbuds, Apple Watches, speaker systems, smart TVs) and downloading apps that have endless possibilities. There is an app for everything now and its awesome.

  12. As Dr. Leight defined in the lecture on Chapter 1, technology is a scientific method of achieving a practical purpose. With that being said, I think the coolest technology ever created is electricity. If energy was never controlled and used to form electricity the world would be a completely different place. We would never have had computers, lights, cell phones, cars, apps, or anything like that. In addition, we would never have had the medical advances that have occurred throughout history. At some point they all required electricity whether it was being used to build the machine or used to conduct the research. Electricity is one of the greatest pieces of technology because it has achieved, which some may argue surpassed, a practical purpose. Electricity makes our daily lives easier and we could not survive in today's society without it.

  13. I think the most innovative, cool, and most overlooked piece of technology is a drone. Drones can do so much more than what we believe. They give us a view of the world that we cannot see from the ground, and it can go places we cannot. Drones are also starting to become a great invention for firefighters for putting out wildfires, they are able to spot and track the wildfire within 3 minutes. Drones are tracking and helping to prevent species from hitting the endangered species list.

There are so many things that Drones can do that we tend to overlook, but upon us is a great invention!

  14. I believe a really cool new technology is called XStat. XStat is a modified syringe that injects specially coated sponges into wounds. The device plugs wounds faster and more effectively than the typical way which uses gauze and applying pressure. It is in the process of being approved by the FDA. If this gets approved, I believe all medics should be required to carry these and they can save many lives where immediately stopping bleeding is necessary for survival.

  15. I believe that my iPhone 7+ or any smart phone is the coolest technology that I have ever been exposed to. It has to be the coolest because it can do some many different things and it fits in the palm of my hand, barely. It allows to to have the technology of a professional camera, photo editing software, call people, communicate with anyone in an instance and finally it allows you to have a GPS system. There are many other things that it can do but the list is expanding every day, so that's another reason why i believe it is the coolest technology. However many people may disagree with me but they take the technology for granted, and don't appreciate the limitless things that an iPhone or smartphone can do.

  16. in my opinion the coolest technology that is used today is a GoPro. I have used GoPro cameras for so many different activities and I have never been dissatisfied with the pictures and videos I have taken. one of the coolest experiences I had with a GoPro so far was wearing it while in a fresh water spring in Gainesville Florida. I wore the GoPro on my chest, head, and in my hand and video taped the entire day. I got pictures underwater of the beautiful fish and plants and also the beautiful scenery around me while on the spring. the best thing about the GoPro is you don't necessarily have to stop and take a picture, but it captures what you are seeing in real-time, almost as if you are taking a snap-shot of your actual visions.

  17. The coolest technology that have have personally experiences was the Samsung Gear VR. I put it on and i compare the feeling that i got to feeling that the first person to turn on a light switch felt. I could say any place in the world and almost get the feeling of being there. Playing video games my entire life on a TV and then putting this on and being inside of the game was absolutely ridiculous. Virtual reality technology is the future of technology for movies, video games, and all aspects of entertainment.

  18. I believe that the coolest technology is Hudl Sideline! This is a newer technology with any sports that want to review game film and practices. Also, to let the whole team observe and communicate in Hudl. However, Hudl Sideline is technology is where the game film that is live can automatically be played o the sidelines immediately. This can help coaches and players visually see the defense or offense of schemes. So for me this would be highly beneficial to have.

  19. I think the coolest technology I have ever used is google drive. Google drive is so useful in any situation. You can up load things off your phone onto your drive and then retrieve it on your computer. This makes getting things from your phone to your computer much easier and painless. Another reason google drive is so helpful is because you can working on the same document with someone else at the same time. You don't even have to be in the same room. This makes group projects way easier.

  20. The coolest technology I've used is my iPhone 7Plus. The features that the iPhone has are sometimes mind blowing. However, I don't want to just speak for the iPhone. I also believe that Samsung Galaxy is right up next to the iPhone when it comes to having cool features. The new head gear that goes with the Samsung allows you to see the world in a different perspective, which is really awesome.

  21. I think the coolest technology would have to be Twitter! When you think about how many tweets people make every single day, it's crazy that they all travel through the web. Twitter has grown to be more than a social media site. It has taken the web by storm with everything from memes to typical Facebook videos of recipes and cooking. The site seems to be endless and constantly growing at a rapid rate.

    1. I agree Scott! Twitter has connected people around the world and it continues to grow everyday. Even the NFL has started broadcasting Thursday night football on twitter. I think this will start a new tread with sports. More leagues will see the benefit of having a game broadcasted on twitter, it will reach millions more people around the world.

  22. Although I am not very experienced with many types of technology, I believe and iPhone to be one of the coolest forms. The iPhone can complete multiple tasks that combine several other forms of technology as well. My first instinct when selecting the coolest technology was a GPS. The fact that iPhones include a GPS and the accuracy has gotten even better contributes to why I believe they are the coolest technology. IPhones are continuously evolving and innovating the latest trends which is why I believe they are one of the coolest forms of technology.

  23. The coolest technology is B2 Stealth bomber planes. Hands down those planes are crazy.

  24. I think the coolest form of technology would have to be computers in general. They can do so many things and most people today depend on them for everything. Computers are almost a necessity for today's younger generations because schoolwork usually requires the use of one, but they can also be used for personal enjoyment.

  25. I think the coolest form of technology is my cell phone. It is basically having a computer in my hand at all times of the day. There are so many features/apps available that I can have almost anything I want on it that I can also have on a computer. Along with the phone, the Siri feature has always amazed me in the way that I can basically have a conversation with my phone. Cell phones have come such a long way that I am excited for what else the future holds.

  26. It's very hard to narrow down what I believe the "coolest" technology is because there are so many wonderful inventions out there! My opinion is that the coolest tech is prosthetic's. There are so many different kinds for so many different purposes (i.e. running, dancing, walking, water-proof). And not just for legs either! There are hand and foot prosthetic's too! All in all, pretty cool technology for amputees.

  27. I think the coolest technology is the GoPro. I like how you can go back and look just to see what you have done with it. For example I used a GoPro to look at a softball swing when my friends and me were at a field playing a pick up game. It was cool going back to look at myself at the plate swinging and in the outfield running to the ball.

  28. My favorite technology that I have gotten into recently is GoPro. It is just awesome at how you can record 1st person point of view footage of events participating in. I plan on getting one to record snowboarding and Tough Mudder Footage in the future.

  29. I think the coolest technology I have come across is the Virtual Reality headsets that came out recently. I tried one for the first time over summer and it was crazy. I literally felt like I was not in the same place I was standing and the scenes and places I could see through the headset made me feel like I was actually there. I think these will soon grow more popular and will change video games and entertainment forever. It's as close as we have ever been to actually being in a video game or virtual reality world, and I think that is pretty amazing.

  30. I think the coolest technology is a GoPro. I use a gopro for when I go skiing. It captures all types of angles, and saves the experience for me to look back on later.

  31. My favorite technology that is out there today would have to be drones and their various uses. I personally have only owned one drone, and it was a micro-drone only meant for recreation. But the flip side of that is the number of uses that can be legitimately beneficial to our society. One example of the great use of drones is in law-enforcement and the military, when we are able to survey a situation remotely. One other example of drones being used for the betterment of society is product delivery.

  32. My dad is a computer programmer for an engineering company and he has always been into getting the newest technology when it comes to phones, computers, TVs, and watches. At the time I believe I was a freshman in high school and my dad got the first iphone when it first came out. We were sitting in the car and there was a song playing on the radio we liked but we did not know the name or artist of the song. My dad took out his iphone and pulled up this app called "Shazam". He clicked record on the app while the song was playing and the title and artist of the song came up. At the time it absolutely blew my mind that a phone could figure out what a song title and artist was. Without that app we may have never found out what the song was.

  33. I think the coolest technology I've seen is the virtual reality goggles that you can hook up to your phone. My friend has them and you can play videos games and they make it look so realistic.

  34. I think the coolest technology I currently own is my Samsung Gear S Watch. I remember when I first bought it, my dad asked me if I needed it and what the watch could do that my cell phone couldn't. I told him, "No I don't need it, but my phone can't strap to my wrist." Which ended up being a pretty true statement. My watch can receive and send messages, receive and make phone calls, check emails, track my workouts, and can even tell how strong the UV rays are outside. This was definitely one of my best investments.

  35. I think the coolest technology is Snap-chat. It has so many features that are awesome! It can connect people from all sides of the world. It can be used seriously and non seriously. Updating people with news, but also having fun sending things between friends. I love snap-chat because it is so versatile.

  36. I think the coolest technology is BioDigital Human, it's an interactive website and app you could download. The app allows you to explore the human body, learn about the procedure for the surgery, and actually do a virtual surgery on the body in 3D form. It also shows your every vein, nerve, muscle in the body and tells you about the body part, the vital information for the body part and just lets you see in 3D every detail the body has. I think it is pretty awesome.

  37. I think the coolest technology is the Garmin watches. It is able to track many things like your heart-rate, calories burned, your mile pace, and your average pace. On top of this some models can track indoor GPS, so you can track your mileage on a track. If you are a swimmer you can even get waterproof watches that count your swim stroke!

  38. The coolest technology I've ever experienced is flying. I dont care about the new vr things or smart phones, flying is crazy. Your getting a metal object that weighs thousands of pounds navigating through the air. crazy. just crazy. It never fails to blow my mind.

  39. I think the coolest technology is a GoPro. How much storage in such a small little camera amazes me. Also, they capture amazing videos and or pictures. You can get the pictures you take on your go pro right on your phone as you take them.

    ReplyDelete
  40. The coolest technology I've ever experienced is a smartphone. People take them for granted and don't realize how much we rely on them and everything they can do. They have so much packed into one small device that can fit into your pocket. Before smartphones, you had to have separate devices for everything the smartphone does. Just a few are a computer, phone, camera, and gaming system.

  41. The coolest technology there is would have to be a smartphone. There is so much packed into one device. Unlimited apps that are games or music or anything else. You can call, text, and use social media all from your smartphone. The advancement of smartphones have been incredible.

  42. I think the coolest technology is the heart rate monitors. I find it interesting how it can track the electronic pulses the heart gives off. The fact that we can put a fit bit on your wrist and track your current heart rate is impressive. I can imagine what we will be able to do in like 10 years. A heart rate monitor is educational and a useful tool for working out.
